چکیده

The partitioning of solute elements during intercritical annealing and the effects on ferrite transformation slow cooling after in a 0.17% C-1.5% Si-1.7% Mn (mass%) steel were investigated by new FE-EPMA (field emission electron probe microanalysis) technique. This technique enables highly accurate measurement C distribution. During annealing, concentrated into austenite, while Si ferrite. distribution austenite was inhomogeneous, with small content transformed cooling. proceeded NPLE (negligible local equilibrium) mode. Two kinds produced due to cooling, one being intercritically-annealed ferrite, other had larger than Furthermore, classified grown epitaxially from that nucleated relatively content. Prior microstructure before are determined conditions, then control transformation. Precise is effective for stable production cold-rolled high strength composite microstructure.

Deformation Microstructure and Texture in a Cold-Rolled Austenitic Steel with Low Stacking-Fault Energy

Deformation microstructure and texture in a cold-rolled austenitic steel 310S with low stacking fault energy (SFE) have been investigated by SEM and TEM. When 310S plates were rolled by 95% in thickness reduction, a remarkable development of the brass-type preferred orientation was confirmed by X-ray diffraction. SEM observations of the specimens with such texture exhibited a layered structure ...

Kinetics of Austenite Recrystallization during the Annealing of Cold-rolled Fe-Mn-Al-C Steel

In the current study, the recrystallization behavior of 75% cold-rolled Fe-22Mn-10Al-1.4C steel during annealing at 750, 770, 790, 810, and 830°C was studied. X-ray diffraction patterns and optical microscopy were used to characterize microstructures. The Vickers Micro-hardness test was used to characterize recrystallization kinetics during annealing. Johnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogorov (JMAK) model...

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cold Rolled AISI 304L and 316L Austenitic Stainless Steels during Reversion Annealing

Microstructural evolutions during annealing of cold rolled AISI 304L and AISI 316L stainless steels were studied. Cold rolled AISI 304L alloy was fully martensitic but cold rolled AISI 316L alloy was partially martensitic due to the higher stability of the austenite phase in the latter. During continuous heating to elevated temperatures, the complete reversion of strain-induced martensite at 75...

Microstructure and microtexture of highly cold-rolled commercially pure titanium

The microstructure and texture evolution of a commercially pure titanium sheet during cold-rolling is investigated in detail by X-ray diffraction and by orientation imaging in the FEG-SEM and in the TEM. The experimental data are compared with simulation results obtained by a viscoplastic self-consistent model. The aim of this work is to provide with a detailed description of the fine scale def...
